Activities

There is so much to do that we can’t cover it all on this page but here are a few examples from previous years to wet your appetite.

  • Have a go at climbing, archery, fishing, encaustic art and African drumming
  • Learn circus skills, signing, judo or dance moves
  • Take a ride on the zipwire, speed boat, kayaks and paddleboards
  • Enjoy an evening programme of live bands, talent shows and all the fun of our fancy dress discos
  • Go off-site to do crabbing, fishing or pitch and putt

A programme of activities is prepared each year. See a sample programme below. All activities are subject to availability.

All our adventurous outdoor activities (e.g. archery, climbing and adventure course) are run by qualified instructors and are adapted to be as inclusive as possible, regardless of ability.

Due to the centre operating procedures, the following activities are only for those who are at least 7 or 8 years of age and in Year 3 at school (Date of birth between September 2015 and August 2016):
Adapted Bikes; Adventure Course; Aerial Adventure; Archery; Boat Rides; Bushcraft Workshop; Caving; Climbing; Crabbing; Fishing; Giant Swing; Inflatable Fun; Kayaking, Paddleboarding; Pedal Karts; Pitch & Putt; Giant Swing

Regardless of age and disability, participation in any activity is still subject to the correct fitting of any safety equipment required. There is a weight limit of 120kg per person for the Giant Swing. Please contact us if you have a query related to the accessibility of our activities.

There are limited spaces on our off-site activities (crabbing, pitch and putt and fishing). These are booked for at the Festival on the Monday and Tuesday and are not available to day visitors.
