Sally Beadle’s run a marathon!
Sally Beadle’s running run a marathon!
If you were in the King’s Lynn area on the 5th May – apologies if you were deafened by a runner in the town.
Two weeks after the disappointment of having to pull out of the London Marathon due to illness, our volunteer Sally Beadle ran a virtual marathon – and a bit more! She started running at 5am May and ran 20 miles before joining Kings Lynn’s GEAR (Grand East Anglian Run) 10K event for the final miles. She ended up doing over the official marathon distance – and apparently was a bit hyper when she completed 26.2 miles.
Her son Dan got up at 4am to drive her to the start and was there with water – and encouragement – on the route.
Many thanks to Sally whose valiant effort helped raise over £2,000 for 4 great charities that she supports, including the Mersea Island Festival.
THANK YOU SALLY! – and everyone who has supported her.
